About Slough Integration
Slough Integration Services is a charity established in 2017 with the primary aim of helping economically disadvantaged women, children, the elderly, people with disabilities, people of East African origin and the general public who have difficulties accessing mainstream services. We provide advice, translation and an environment that aim to encourage a community spirit. It is a place where people of different ages, races and cultures can come together.

What we do?
We offer a place for the community to meet to meet, socialise and practise some wellbeing activities. We offer Youth clubs, weekend school and teach basic English. Research has shown that chronic social isolation increases the risk of mental health issues like depression, anxiety and substance abuse, as well as chronic conditions like high blood pressure, heart disease and diabetes. It also raises the risk of dementia in older adults. Our trained volunteers offer advice on general wellbeing; we break the language barrier with our onsite translators who speak Somali, English, Swahili and Arabic, giving our beneficiaries a general sense of acceptance and purpose.
